While being a Catholic on line is full of rewards like meeting other Catholics one would not have met otherwise. One also runs into the "Anti-Catholics". This page in named "The Trenches" in honor of all the brave men and women that I've had the pleasure of being allied with, during some of the most heated debates on line. I can't remember who first said it, but years ago in an AOL (Ya, I know, not that place!) Catholic chat room a person said they had just come back from a debate online with an anti-Catholic, and how it was nice to be around other Catholics for a change. Someone replied, "Welcome back from the trenches" and the name stuck.
Though remember when planting the mustard seed of Faith, "Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and reverence" 1 Peter 3:15
